Yeah, I can't believe it's coming out so soon. ME2 only came out in January and we've already got a trailer for part 3. Times are good. :D

I was hoping for a summer release... EA had made big noise about a much shorter wait between 2-3... A 2 year cycle time was pretty much what it was between 1-2. Given they kept the team on to immediately continue work on ME3 and that they had a separate team working on DLC it seemed more then reasonable for a 1.5 year cycle...That ending was such a huge tease which that trailer could basically go take place right after the end of ME2. So far as much as I have enjoyed the ME2 dlc it hasnt done what was promised "To really fill the story between ME2 and ME3... I really look forward to next "Holiday season".

precisely why i didnt buy any of the dlc, so far any of the bioware 360 games dlc has just been rehashed more of the same and its like an anime movie that contains characters from a series you know, but they will never mention again what happened in these standalone pockets of null content.

Actaully the DLC has been awesome... And have introduced new charectars including main charectars that will be part of 3... Though only the last one has helped bridge the narrative between 2 and 3... Allegedly they are not done with DLC.

Nice,

I been eyeballing the shit out of this thread for awhile but wanted to wait until I beat ME2. ME2 was way shorter than ME1 IMO. Kinda of annoying, that's one thing I hope they fix. I remember running around the Citadel for hours. Probably spend maybe a grand total of 40 mins in the Citadel on ME2.

Clint Mansell to Score Mass Effect 3
(http://uk.xbox360.ign.com/articles/114/1148798p1.html)

Clint Mansell, composer of such classic motion picture scores as 'The Fountain' and 'Requiem For a Dream' dropped the news that he is writing the musical score for the last chapter in BioWare's epic Mass Effect trilogy in an interview with The Quietus about his latest film, 'Black Swan'.

The website Badass Digest picked up on the news of Mansell's involvement in Mass Effect 3, which saw the composer asked about whether he does much work for other outlets like computer games. Mansell responded by saying: "I'm doing a video game this year actually. Mass Effect 3".

When describing what it's like to score a video game, Mansell said: "As I was saying about Public Enemy and re-working old hip-hop tunes for Requiem, and kind of re-working old ballet tunes for Black Swan, with something like Mass Effect you're more like a DJ, with all these elements. You've got the holding pattern, then the big explosion where you need the score to kick in. Then you need to take it off on a tangent. You've got all these different elements that change depending on what the player does. You have to figure out an overall symphony, but be able to break it down into component parts. You can bring the pain when required".

This is incredible news as Mansell is regarded by many as one of the most gifted composers working in the film industry today. His music is famous for being as epic as it is haunting. His involvement in Mass Effect 3 gives us good reason to believe we might be in for the most emotionally devastating game in BioWare's space opera franchise yet.

WOW. I couldn't possibly me more hyped for this game and there hasn't been a hint of gameplay footage yet. :hyper:

Cool, little over a week away, too. I wonder if this picks up before or after the game ends.

With all that's coming out this Fall, I'm actually kinda glad. Frees up some much needed room for Skyrim, Dark Souls and Gears 3.

Just finished Arrival.

Sorta disappointed in how short all the DLCs happen to be but good filler information from them all. Arrival's last moments were pretty sweet. I'm pumped for ME3. Sorta torn on weither they were worth all the mircrosoft points spent on them but nothing I can do about it now so I won't bitch. :D
