WELL SHIT.

thats the last decent science fiction show on that network has ten episodes left to wrap up the story of "we found a ship following a signal from the creation of reality, thats probably from god, or something" that just got going.
I knew these guys had lost it when they changed there name to a teenagers texting abbreviation for syphilis and started showing dollhouse but what happened to the science fiction channel we grew up with?

how in anyway is this a science fiction channel anymore? i think fox shows more sci-fi than them now.

I mean its the first time in 13 years theres no stargate on tv, as well as no star trek, star wars is over and done (i hope) and honestly the only decent sci-fi show left is eureka and thats a light hearted comedy.

the best space opera left is now a videogame, mass effect. the genre has been in decline since galatica wrapped up and honestly im gonna say if the next stark trek flick sucks its probably dead.

"Battlestar Galactica" was probably one of the best television shows ever shown on cable television (or network television for that matter). It was better than "The Walking Dead" has been so far in its 6 episodes. Yes. I said that. It was just a brilliant show. And I so would have banged Admiral Helena Caine. Mmm.... Michelle Forbes. Ensign Ro to Admiral Caine -- she's come far in her career. Yummy.

With that said, "Sci-Fi" (or Syfy or whatever the hell they call it now) is pretty much dead and useless now. WWF wrestling or WWE or whatever they call it now on Syfy? The hell?

They (Syfy) were talking about creating this new show with the great Michael Ironside starring as a captain of an interstellar ship who gets stranded on this ice world with his crew with no way home and the world turns out to be more than just an empty ice-world i.e. like Hoth. But, I don't think anything ever happened with that as I've never heard anything else from it. That would be an interesting premise if it ever developed though.

Anyway, that network has no purpose since "Galactica" ended -- it's the only thing great I can think of that ever came from it except maybe reruns of "The Twilight Zone" and "Tales from the Darkside".

Glalactica is miles frakkin' better than the walking deads tv adaption.

Hey, you leave Sharktopus alone!

In all seriousness, there's only one show on that entire station that draws ratings, and it's professional wrestling. You'd think that someone in the SyFy offices might notice that really shouldn't be the case.

Fuck you syfy...FUCK YOU!

SGU wasn't perfect, but it was the only science fiction show worth watching these days. Sgt Greer alone made it worth watching...he is a surly bad-ass of a man.

Oh, nBSG ruled...bit over-dark and over-agnsty sometimes, but the space porn battles were just drool-worthy in the extreme. Bill Adama & Saul Tigh were Gods.

I... I kind of like Eureka... and Warehouse...
So to clarify, we're all pronouncing the new spelling as "see-fee", right? That'll teach those smarmy devils....

1: greer and rush made that show, greer started as the generic badass but turned into a really excellent character backed by a wonderful performance.

2: That said adama and tigh are probably the best performances in an ongoing sci-fi series of all time. patrick stewarts a great Shakespearean actor but adama is so much more believable as a human being than picard ever was.

I SAID IT.

The Stargate movie was pretty bad. The multiple tv spin offs were worse....

Speaking of bonking some chicks from BSG: Let me also add to my list of Admiral Helena Caine that of Laura Roslin (Oh Hell yeah, I'd hit that every which way to Sunday).

Hmm... for some reason she reminds me of someone in our current society...

Coincidence perhaps?

I can just see Palin glaring at a captured Al Quaida suspect and saying to a marine, "space him" :D

I do apologize from brining Sharktopus into this... and Megashark for that matter, who btw is battling a new nemisis. I believe I came across a Mega Shark vs Super eel title at REDBOX
