Beautiful and really quite gross at the same time. I never knew that's what an eye looked like in close detail. :eek:

I'm always grossed out by magnified close ups of the human body, hell I feel bad enough just thinking of those 10 metres of intestine coiled up in my belly :barf:

Honestly, macro shots of most things are unpleasant and sort of disturbing, but strangely interesting to look at (I didn't linger long on the opening pic though). :p

It's kind of like an auto accident. You don't want to look, but sometimes you just can't help it. :D
