So it kicks off at Bodega bay where a young couple are in a Yatch in the middle of the bay, the man intends to propose to his woman and the scene shows him making quips and moves that lead to a kiss. As they close in a seagull divebombs the girl and the guy goes into the yatch for a bandaid then she screams, he see's a tornado of seagulls swoope down and strike her and she's gone. The Seagulls pass over a beach and he watches as 'something' falls to the beach, on arriving he see's it's his girlfriends bloody skeleton.

Come on you know it will be this bad!

Should've known this would happen eventually. Pathetic.

Where did you get this info? Last I heard this project was on hold and a director wasn't even attached yet. I believe the oh-so-fine Naomi Watts was the only person really attached at that point.

Sounds like absolute shit. It should be a crime to attempt to re-make Hitch. No one is going to do better and it's just a money grab -- if they can't bother to attempt to reach for the same quality as Hitch why should I be bothered to spend my money for it?

Okay, Naomi Watts. That changes things a bit. I'll wait until it hits the interwebs and watch it for free.

Whoa Nelly! don't think for one second this is for real but it is a matter of time with today's economics and I would expect horrendous scenes such as the one I said to happen.
A remake would likely have birds be flying phirana's that - against the laws of physics - lift people into the air, strip their flesh in seconds and we'd see people outrun a flock of birds, fight a room full with a pea shooter handgun to cover a escape and then end with a propane explosion. Oh and feature colage students smoking pot, making out and filming porno and junk.

It's all groovy, Mr. Serling. I was actually waiting for someone to do it after I posted the response. By the way, I wonder what Randall Flagg is doing on Hitchcock's shoulder.

Sounds like they are ripping off the scene from Pitch Black. Besides, there is a Birds 2 : Lands End made in the 90's. Why make another?

I think the dudes who made the remakes of Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Amityville Horror, Hitcher, Nightmare on Elm Street, Friday the 13th, are the ones behind this. That should tell you something.
