Would you believe they had the balls to rename this 48 Weeks Later in the UK? It's actually not a terrible zombie movie - it's kinda self-aware, and it has workable cinematography and effects, and it seems to be shot on film. Usually these obscure modern no-name zombie flicks follow the same old story - a talentless idiot thinks all you need to become a director is a cheap camcorder, some friends and corn syrup. But this is not one of the usual crappy SOV bargain bin flicks.

Yes, it does have a pretty low budget, but it's a real bona-fide movie with a proper crew and everything. And it has Reggie Bannister in it.

Don't get me wrong, it's pretty flawed. The acting is not bad, but never stands out as being particularly good either. You don't care for any of the characters, because they're all assholes.

Still, it is watchable and semi-entertaining.

Aces, don't get me wrong, Gangs of the Dead certainly wouldn't be considered "realtively good" if it didn't belong to a genre that includes such stonkers as Raiders of the Living Dead, Zombie Nosh, Zombie Lake, Children of the Living Dead, Zombie Creeping Flesh, etc. It's "relatively good" in the same sense as you might say a SyFy original movie was good. :)

Alright yall here it is, decent story "barely" acting whatever but my biggest peev was just not enough zombie visuals for me!
Was it worth $1.99 maybe, would I take it back to CVS if they would take it back, YES! Lol
