Very cool!

A shedload more - much larger - images here: http://www.silentuk.com/?p=2792

They should film something down there ... it kind of reminds me of that movie "Creep" (although that flick wasn't all that good, to be honest), but this sort of setting would be so awesome to see on film - even just a sort of uban explorer's video document of the location would be awesome.

i always liked these sort of things, since ur mentioning movies. how about mimic? lol scary subway movie.

theres one in new york i believe that is the mirror image of the one in ghostbusters 2, the subway was shuttered for something like 150 years. and it was literally like going back in time because everything was laid out like they were to open for business the next morning.

I wouldn't say it was "mythical" - it was seen in use by millions in the Bruce Willis movie Hudson Hawk, and only closed down in 2003 - but it would make for a badass urbex excursion! :)

cool stuff. I love looking at these "urban spelunking" kind of things.

Cool stuff! I love anything like that! It always amazes me that at one point a hell of a lot of money, resources and labour were poured into building these things, then later on they are just abandoned as if worthless, same applies to all these old military installations & factories, asylums/hospitals etc

There's a thread about that around here that has new pictures. They're beautiful in an odd way. And the station has held up very well.

And yeah....reminds me of Ghostbusters 2, as well.

yea no kiddin, man. when i was without a job a few years back i'd be up ALL night on that site i linked literally reading all the archived stuff on each subway. the ones that had the natural light were really nice looking in the inside. theres one (if i ever find the link) that is STILL sealed up air tight after over 100 years. and they only have a sketch drawing to go off of.
