If it came in "bacon", most folks on this board wouldn't think twice about it.

But yah, there's a huge 'squick' factor with that. It's like the kid that ate paste in kindergarden grew up and got a job in Food Processing.

Nasty. If most of them look like the example pictures, it's pretty easy to spot. If you're buying for home use, that is. I don't know if it would be as obvious when served in a restaurant.

I try to get most of my meat from the local butcher, anyway....
