WTF, I just checked their tour dates and I haven't heard of 95% of the cities they're playing (they don't have states listed, either).

I'm not a Kiss fan, but you're right. Though I'd say it was about half of them that are places I've never heard of or totally generic sounding and probably exist in multiple states: Hato Rey (American SW one would imagine, never heard of it--but seems to be in PR), Everett (generic), Kamloops (Never heard of it), Dawson Creek (?!), Sarnia (sounds made up), Prince George (generic), Abbotsford (generic), Bushkill (generic), Manchester (in N. America, mind you--generic), Walker (generic) , Windsor (generic), Verona (generic).
It's not hard to find the info in other places, but it's common sense to include the state info, especially on the official site. Maybe they aren't really playing all of the shows listed, they just want to seem like they're more active than they really are--common senior citizen tactics :p
Why'd I look into this? It's Friday and I'm putting off working as much as possible ;)

Yeah, he's been playing a lot of surprise & benifit gig's, which tells me he's ready to hit the road again. I'm talkin' full on band/tour though. :D

Speaking of KISS, one of my current fave bands "Black Spiders" have done this cracking song about kiss trying to kill the lead singer in a dream he had

Point? :rockbrow:
There's a time when I would have scoffed at going to see "old geezers" but now? Well...as a LOT of acts are growing older & still putting on great shows IMO the "age limit" on rock has definitely been getting pushed back. :)

Bruce Springsteen is hitting the stage in Pittsburgh for two shows with friend Joe Grushecky on Nov. 4 and Nov. 5 to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the release of Grushecky's album "American Babylon." The November shows will be at a 2,300 seat theater at the Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hall and Museum and are being billed as "Joe Grushecky & the Houserockers with Special Guest Bruce Springsteen."
Not surprise shows or benefiit shows, no. But not full band/tour shows either. Now quit being pedantic.

I saw him once in 2002....GREAT show. I thought it might be the one & only chance to see him. And it still my be. Them tickets ain't cheap! But I've decided the next time he & the band hit the road I REALLY want to see them ONE MORE TIME. ;)
FWIW I saw Kiss in...2003? A buddy at the time was a huge fan (I've always like them, but this guy is a super fan) & he bought my ticket. Them & Poison. It was a good time 4 sure. :D

I'm a KISS fan. I saw them several times in the day. I'd see them anytime anywhere they want to perform. I hope they come to my nursing home... or I get to see them play from their own nursing home. It's all good. I will be a KISS fan till the end.

very nice man, i saw them in 2004 with poison. you saw them at a key point in their history. kinda like a lean years like in 1981 where only the die hards showed up and they only sold 49% of all tickets. tickets were $50 for a front row seat then. now they're "popular" again and at the casino show im going to, the lowest ticket is $114. and now they sell out or get close to it every show. weird how the flavor of the month can take people away from seeing a great show like kiss or bruce.
