Eh, I'll probably catch hell for saying this, but not a fan of Robert Downey Jr at all. Didn't see the first one (no interest) and the second one doesn't really interest me in the least bit either.

I always imagined Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Moriarty to be seasoned and wizened older men -- perhaps cast by Ian McKellen as Sherlock and perhaps Gary Oldman as Dr. Moriarty. Of course, they are going for a "sexy, hip!" younger Sherlock Holmes for the masses to enjoy with this one for sex-appeal and because it's "cool!". No thanks.

Then again, the coolest Sherlock Holmes/Moriarty mix ever would be Nick Nolte as Sherlock and Gary Busey as Moriarty. Now I would pay money to see that!

Great casting, but a poor script made the first one a ho-hum affair and I knew right away there'd be a chance for redemption with a sequel. That said, still not sure they'll deliver, but hopeful.
