Love that movie, hate the remake. The attackers were not zombies but I remember digging the film because it it was kinda like a zombie flick. Kind of reminded me of Fulci's Zombie!

A little clunky, but I think the problems were strictly budgetary. For it's budget it is pretty impressive! Like you I have always loved this early Carpenter film!
