Women in Saudi Arabia are to be given the right to vote and run in future municipal elections, King Abdullah has announced

Wow! At this rate they'll even be allowed to drive soon!

I love the priorities at work here. Well, we can tell women how to vote, spy on them at the polls and beat them if we think they didn't vote the way we want...but don't let her touch the keys to my fleet of benzs and gold plated SUVs.

I think it's excellent that they are advancing. Here in the U.S. we've had to deal with women who can't drive for 90+ years, it's only fair that other countries should have to deal with women who can't drive as well! (Where's Chic around when you need her to throw food at me for being sexist?).

But is it sexist when it's true LOL

I actually witnessed a woman on her cell phone run a stop sign and crash into an older woman (it was a low speed crash, everybody was okay), and then the younger one proceeded to yell at the older lady calling her every name in the book to the point where the old lady was about to cry, so I got out of my car and told her "SHUT THE F*CK UP! YOU RAN THE STOP SIGN AND HIT HER!" as I have no tolerance for ignorance like that. She shut up :D After waiting for the police to show up and being a witness the younger woman was trying to deny using her phone, but there was a guy on a bike at the corner who also saw it and stayed and said she was indeed on the phone so she was given a ticket for that also (as it is now a ticketable offense if a distraction like a phone is involved in an accident). The funny thing is the younger woman never once apologized and tried to deny everything that happened even though there were witnesses that seperatly told the same story to police. People like her that are unwilling to accept responsibilty are a huge part of many of the problems we face, but that's another story for another day.
