A man with the unlikely name Jose Chinchilla and his fiancée Michele Callan are suing their landlord after renting a house they've decided is haunted.
The couple only want their $2,250 security deposit back, claiming that the house's paranormal activity forced them to hightail it after only a week. The landlord thinks this is all a clever scheme to get out of the $1,500 per month rental fee — but if they were going to make up an excuse, wouldn't they pick a more plausible one? Regardless, the landlord has filed a countersuit against them.
Besides, there's proof. Well, kind of. Chinchilla and Callan hired investigators from the Shore Paranormal Research Society. The ghost experts determined that the house was seeing some "paranormal activity," but they wouldn't go so far as to call it "haunted." Semantics, right?
Can't wait to see the evidence in the court case!
