According to Paste Magazine MCA lost his battle against cancer.
What a shame. The Beastie Boys were one of my favourite hip hop bands. Saw them live a couple of times and their mix of punk, rock, funk and old school hip hop was always a blast.

Man, I guess I am getting old. Seems like every celeb that dies lately is someone who I liked as a kid. I saw the Beastie Boys twice in concert back in the day. Sad.
