We've had some fun covering Axel Braun productions lately.

His recent AVENGERS and STAR WARS "porn parodies" proved without a doubt that...whatever one may think of "porn" on the whole...Axel is 1) an uber-Geek with both an understanding of / respect for the source material he lampoons; and 2) cares enough to bring surprisingly high quality design and production value to his projects. Yes, I realize saying such things may seem odd under the circumstances - but here we are nonetheless.

One time, back in the day, I was watching one of Dad's porno tapes, and stick fighting with Lil Beavis, and the power went out. I immediately freaked, as I knew I needed electricity to get the damned tape out and safely put back into its place at the top of his closet before he got home from work.
I quickly ran an extension cord to the neighbor's outside outlet, only to find power was out to the whole street.
The thing that made this suck was that the VCR had this huge red button that would light up when there was an unwatched movie inside. My Dad's eyes were always drawn to it, so I knew if he got home, the power came back on, and he was sitting on the sofa...
I'd be mortified and he'd never let me live it down.
I put another VHS box kind of in front of the red light, and sat there with them waiting well after the power came back. When they finally left the room for something I was all over it like a boss.

Kids these days have no idea just WTF we had to go through to get our jollies.
