LOS ANGELES (TheWrap.com) - Forget "The Walking Dead" - the Driving Bombed might be the bigger danger.

"Walking Dead" actor Scott Wilson, who plays alcoholic farmer Hershel Greene on AMC's hit zombie drama, is facing DUI charges after being arrested last week, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Wilson, 70, was pulled over at 2 a.m. on August 18 by Peachtree City, Ga., police after they observed his black PT Cruiser traveling at about 70 miles per hour - "well above the posted speed limit" for the area, according to officials. Police also noted that his car "swerved back and forth" several times.

Upon being pulled over, Wilson - whose acting credits also include "The Great Gatsby" and "In Cold Blood" - admitted that he'd had scotch and wine at Founders Restaurant & Bar in nearby Senoia.

Wilson was administered field sobriety tests, which he failed. The actor complained to police that the roadway was too "slanted" and offered to perform "yoga moves" in lieu of the traditional tests, according to the paper.

A breathalyzer test administered at the scene put Wilson's blood alcohol concentration at 0.143, well above the legal limit of .08, while tests at the Fayette County, Ga. jail where Wilson was booked registered a 0.151 and 0.155, the paper said.

Police were initially alerted to Wilson by an anonymous tipster who reported a possibly impaired driver.

The worst part of this story is that he drives a PT Cruiser. . . .and wanted to show off his yoga moves?!?!?

*sigh* What is it with actors drinking and driving? Seriously - get a fucking taxi, or have a trustworthy designated driver. If I'm driving and out with friends, I don't touch a single drop of booze, and if I've been out drinking with friends, I don't get anywhere near a steering wheel - it's fucking simple, and yet you hear so many times of actors (or celebs) drink-driving ... ... then you've got all the non-actor folks of the world who drink-drive. It's shoddy behaviour at least, and at worst it could result in a hideous accident that ruins lives ... and all for what? A couple of drinks?

Piss right off - get your heads sorted, people who do this kind of thing.

They had his mugshot on the news a few days ago. Looks like he's been living in the woods for months(for the show, obviously).

Funny tidbit - While listening to the "Nebraska" commentary on the Season Two set that was released only a couple days after his arrest, Wilson says that he went back to the "bar" after filming was done(he lives in GA) and was surprised to see it was actually an antique store. Apparently Wilson was going back to his old stomping grounds for some more drinks. :p

Ehhh, he still looks better than Randy Travis...
Maybe he's still irked Glenn hooked up with his TV daughter and took it out on a bottle. It'd put a whole new spin on his "slanted" remark.

For a DUI? Nah. This is just a slap on the wrist and shouldn't effect the production at all. If this is Wilson's first DUI, it's basically like getting a misdemeanor marijuana charge here in Georgia. I'm sure he posted a small bond the next morning and he'll probably end up paying a small fine and maybe a small amount of community service, if any.

If this does cause AMC to ask for his early departure, then they must run an incredibly tight ship....
