Soon a new film by Refn will be released. This guy is easily one of the best directors working today. Seriously; go check out the Pusher trilogy and Valhalla Rising if you haven't done so already. Pretty sure everyone alive with in an interest in cinema has seen Drive by now ...

EDIT: saw it yesterday. If you thought that after Drive Refn was on his way to a more 'acceptable' Hollywood style of filmmaking then the short answer is no.
Deeply disturbing Freudian nightmare drenched in Argento style reds and blues. Highly stylised and with a whiff of Lynch's surrealism. All of that without becoming boring or pretentious. Give it a go. Great film.

Yes, definitely looking forward to this flick. Loved Refn's films and really enjoy Gosling even though he often gets the pretty boy label. I'll definitely check this one out as soon as possible.

Gosling does a great job in this one. It is quite different from Drive though, not on a visual level, this one is just as highly stylised, but because it feels like a nightmare through and through.

It is also so violent some people were screaming in the theatre and had to walk out. Intense stuff!
