Out of nowhere i just remembered this old flick by the guy who made 'the snowman', about an elderly british couple trying to survive the fallout of a nuclear bomb. I read a comic about it years ago and heard there was a film version with music by david bowie. Turns out its been uploaded onto youtube and i found it a riveting but incredibly sad take on the whole situation. Check it out, just dont expect to be smiling by the end.

It's a good film.

I remember about 5-6 years ago I was on a post-apocalyptic film craze, and just hunted down and watched all thos films. Panic in the Year Zero, Threads, War Games, the Day After and the Testament etc. etc. etc.

Yeh, it's a great little film. I've been a fan of it for years.

Better than that 'Snowman' nonsense. Christ, I can't stand that thing.

Horribly sad film, we watched it school back in the 80's, whole class usually full of hooting, noisy kids was deathly quiet when it finished.

the only other film about nukes that had an ending that really got me was a bbc production called Threads....
