Three teenagers who kicked and punched a homeless man to death in Liverpool for a dare have been sentenced.

Liverpool Crown Court heard Kevin Bennett, 53, was attacked as he slept rough outside a supermarket in August.

Connor Doran, labelled the "leader of the pack" by the judge, was sentenced to a minimum of 12 years.

Simon Evans was ordered to serve at least eight years and Brandon Doran received six years for acting as look-out during the attack.

What's particularly fascinating is just how lovely the Doran family seems:-
- Doran brothers' mother, Linda Doran, 42, was jailed for 30 months after being convicted by the jury of perverting the course of justice.
- Her second son, Jordan, 21, was held in contempt of court after being caught using a mobile phone to take photographs in the courtroom.
- Her eldest son, Ryan, 23, was convicted of murder and jailed for life in October after he attacked a stranger with a bottle in a takeaway.

So that's the mother and four sons all in prison! Wonder where dad is in all this? If indeed he's even around at all!

For cold blooded murder, perpetrated in a doubtlessly painful and terror-ridden manner?

Disgusting.

Jesus, they sound worse than the Texas Chainsaw Massacre family.

Agreeing with Aces here...12 years for beating someone to death?

We have a lovely phrase over here for little, piece of trash f*ckers like these: "Tried as an adult."

in most states in the US these dudes would be looking at adult charges of murder and the adult jail time that comes with said charges.
