Mostly enjoyed the first one... So hopefully the second will be as good or better...

I enjoyed the first one. Hoping for the best with the sequel.
"I gave you my word I would return.....except for last time. I....uhhh....yeah, I've been back before. But now I'm back AGAIN!".
See....that's already the start of the flaws with these team-up films like The Avengers. It ruins everything in the characters' solo films.

That's a good point and it's certainly possible. But with the doctor from Thor(forget his name now) being controlled in the after-credits sequence of Thor, then leading directly into his contribution of The Avengers, wouldn't that mean The Avengers was Thor's second time on Earth. And it's been a long time since i've seen The Avengers, but wasn't there also a quick mention of Natalie Portman being hid in a secure location "ever since what happened in the desert"?

Seemingly +ve review(s) - http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/movies/review/a525166/thor-the-dark-world-review-tom-hiddleston-shines-in-marvel-sequel.html
Despite its occasionally bipolar quality, Thor: The Dark World is a hugely entertaining and sharply written continuation of Marvel's Phase 2, combining heart, spectacle and a shrewd lightness of touch.

Ok?
I'm a few hours away from seeing it.
Can't wait. Thor like a mofo.

I went to see this earlier. I'm going to start with the trailers they had: 47 Ronin, X-Men, Captain America 2, and Robocop. All sweeet new things to await.
Now, I'm not going to ruin the movie, but wow. I loved it. Very beautiful, and rarely a dull moment. Thor and Cap, my faves of all this. It's fantastic how all these movies tie into each other here and there...
So many things I can't even remember them all. The Captain America cameo, sort of, is awesome. Everyone in the audience was laughing their balls off, though I forgot to check the floor before I left. The Stan Lee cameo was also funny. The enemies of this one, the Dark Elves, were totally badass, especially the cursed ones and the main guy.
Also, stick around until the very very end. Two codas, one right after the main movie and credits are done, and another at the extreme ass end of it all.
The first is an intro to The Collector, played by Benicio del Toro, and boy is he creepy. The second is what happened to some monster that was warped along in the big end fight by accident. I had just mentioned it to my kid when it came on. I was chuckling at that one.
I highly recommend this. Even better than the first.

Even better than the first.
I agree, but that's not really high praise. The sequel is better, but still a bit flabby around the edges.
Tom Hiddleston is excellent, though. He's really made Loki a lot of fun.
