A few years back there was a girl that toured that area on her motorcycle and took photos and posted them to the web. I was fascinated from the start with that whole concept. I've always been fascinated by Soviet artwork and propaganda from the cold war. But doubly so when you throw in an abandoned city that suffered a nuclear reactor meltdown. These photos are much better than all the other ones I've seen.

The other night there I watched "Threads" for the first time in years. It's a harsh reminder as to the reality and the insanity of nuclear warfare. "Nobody wins a nuclear war".
