A simple premise that could make a great low key, independent to medium budget project...too bad there's a good chance it will be overproduced garbage.

If they keep this relatively lowbudget in scope this could be a decent enough movie.

As long as they don't call it "Zombie Survival Guide" we'll be all set.

This could be really really good! Arnie can play an everyman character rather than trying to be a superman like he was back in the day.

Can you see Arni pulling off an emotional character led center piece role?

Abigail Breslin to play Maggie - http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/abigail-breslin-star-opposite-arnold-592426

She should be a natural having already appeared in Zombieland!

I like the premise. Could lead to some meaningful, intelligent drama.

Wait; Schwarzenegger? Worried.

Wait; Schwarzenegger? Worried.

I'm worried too! Imagine if it was an unknown in the lead? You'd instantly imagine a far darker and more character led film!

Get to the chopp...erm...cinema! IGN gave it an 8.

This is a highly reactive, quiet and reflective role and Schwarzenegger does very strong work here, giving his best pure performance ever.

I take we've all slipped into some sort alternate dimension then...when does stuff like this ever happen in our usual reality? :shifty:

He's a horrible actor. But he admits it himself... The problem is the language. He's f*cking excellent at pretty much everything - except linguistic skills.

I don't hold very high hopes for his acting. Still, Arnie is Arnie. Worth a watch.

I think it's becoming more and more common for independent films to get released on Streaming sites of one sort or another.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00XBTG85S/?ref_=imdbref_hm_aiv_i_1&tag=imdb-aiv-tv-20

I bet it's also on iTunes.

The same applies to Dolph Lundgren's latest film Skin Trade. It gets a limited theater release, but is also available on stuff like iTunes. Personally, I think it's a step in the right direction to counter the piracy trend. But currently, they're still splitting the movie up into local markets, when movies are in fact a global market. What I mean is, here in Sweden Skin Trade isn't available for me to RENT, but it's available for me to illegally DOWNLOAD. Now what kind of marketing plan is that?

This is well worth your money and support.
It's very, very slow and sombre and I did find my concentration drifting towards my tablet during the long sad music/montages but overall it's a good film and Arnie gets to act.

Good to see something different for a change.

Saw it, liked it. Arnie may not have a full handle on our language, but he puts it out there, and it works.
Also, glad I watched it alone last night, my wife would've been bored $hitless.

Another fairly +ve review - http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/movies/review/a654154/maggie-review-arnold-schwarzenegger-says-hasta-la-vista-to-zombies.html

A worthwhile stab at approaching the zombie subgenre in a character-driven, personal manner, Maggie lacks the substance to soar and occasionally plods along like a lethargic zombie. Its virtues do outweigh the faults though, meaning that you should extract more from the film than purely satiating a morbid curiosity over Arnie doing proper acting.

Saw this a few weeks ago. It's ok. But, just ok. Probably the best acting Arnie has ever done in his life.

If you like zombie cinema, then watch it.

Wow! Really enjoyed this film.

Thought the first 10-15 minutes was a tad rocky with acting/directing... but from there on a pretty solid moving drama. Not often I've had a tear in my eye in an Arnie film, but this was one. Quite moving at times!
