First off, I have to ask: does anyone here get the impression by my posts here that I'm a masochist (other than my "I have shamed myself" threads)?? I never thought I was, but after repeatedly subjecting myself to movies like this .... these cannot be the actions of a sane person. They just can't.

So... There I was.. bored, nothing to do, I was sick of surfing the web and decided since there was nothing else to watch, I would throw on the SyFy channel and see what was up. And that's when I was greeted with this little gem... "Sharknado"

Yes, it's another Asylum movie, and Asylum keeps proving one thing to me over and over again: just when you think their movies cannot possibly get any worse, they prove you wrong in spades.

That being said, this is a story about a bunch of sharks who end up getting sucked up into a tornado (and subsequent hurricane) and they are rained down upon the california coast where...

Y'know what? Screw this, just watch the trailer. It says way more than I could ever type here:

:stunned:

You know a movie is going to be disaster when the tag line is: "Sharknado: ENOUGH SAID!" :duh:

I have nothing further to say - other than this shit made "Sharktopus" look like 'Gone With The Wind'!

I was going to bring this movie to your attention, but I have been busy painting a house.

 Only you Lou, only you. I think they make these JUST for YOU. "Raitings are in, we scored a '1' on Sharknadio. Lou must've been bored again."

that piece of garbage with both tiffany and debbie gibson in it, "mega python vs. gatoroid" (or some such shite), may very well be the worst movie i have ever sat all the way through.

I caught the last 10-15 mins. It was simply embarassing. I wanted to laugh but I was just too shocked at the crap I was seeing. An ending scene with 90210 guy left me in a near state of shock........Was I really seeing what I saw on tv? Did the actors really believe or take this project serious?

y'know, I almost considered watching that "Two Headed Shark Attack" flick after this one, but.. my soul couldn't take any more punishment.

I think I spend more time doing this:  than actually watching these movies!

Sharktopus is still my favorite out of all these.... umm... "films". I don't think they've come even close to matching the insanity of that one. lol

Yes, once again I take one for the HPotD team and get the crap beat out of me. Not sure how much more shaming I can take guys, but I'm (almost) ready for the next SyFy/Asylum atrocity! :D

She must have needed the money

Carmen Electra and Brooke Hogan must need the $ too, 'cause those two starred in Two-Headed Shark Attack:

I wonder, do these actors/actresses do these Asylum flicks because they're stupid campy fun, or because it's a cash grab/need money kind of situation...?

Regardless, Two Headed Shark Attack looks like it might even be worse than Sharknado. Is that even possible?! :stunned:

***edited to add: I'm starting to see a pattern with Asylum. Sharktopus, Two-Headed Shark Attack, MegaShark vs. Giant Octopus, MegaShark vs. Crocasaurus, SuperCroc, MegaPiranha... someone over at Asylum has a sea-creature fetish!

I think Tara Reid has wandered down the ladder and is now a c-grade actor.

To be fair, she was never good at acting.

Good goin', Lou. What's next on your agenda? Letter writing campaign for an Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull box office re-release? :|

Now that you mention it, I'm going to try a campaign to get the fridge from Crystal Skull it's own spinoff flick called "FRIDGENADO!"

Go ahead, try me. See if I don't do it, pal... :shifty:

***edited to add: for the record, "SHARNADO 2" has already been greenlit. It will take place in NYC instead of California this time. :elol: YOU'RE WELCOME!

Speaking of the Sharknado sequel, which has already been given the green light, did any of you see the campaign they did to get the tagline for the next flick? The first one was "Sharknado: 'Nuff said."

As if that wasn't bad enough, the sequel is going to be called (and remember, this is after crowd-sourcing the tagline on social media - this is really what they came up with):

"Sharknado 2: The Second One"
