When I was watching this movie some things jumped out at me, it's as if the film makers were trying to convey the woman is mentally ill (schizophrenia). If you have seen it what do you think?

I have since learned it was all based on the case of Doris Bithers and the actual story is far less impressive she lived in a house twice condemned with her three sons and daughter, all juvenile or adolescent at the time, and says she was 'raped' by a ghost supported by two others holding hr down.
Like in the movie she has a history of abuse and the parapsychologists came with no evidence.
