The mother of a schoolgirl who hanged herself amid claims of bullying has been the target of internet abuse.

A Facebook group is being investigated by police over the abuse of Gabbi Dix, whose 14-year-old daughter Izzy killed herself in Devon last year.

Ms Dix complained to police about edited images of Izzy, along with abusive comments and encouragement to others to take their own lives.

We've far too many cases here in The States; increasing over the past several years, of raging internet assholes gloating over the suicide of children. As a man taught by his father ( I miss you so much, Dad. ) to be responsible for your own actions and words, this is never to be tolerated. You do not kick someone when they're down, and you do not abuse women and children in any way.

So back in 2012, there were these two girls who both committed suicide within a few weeks of each other, and for similar reasons ( sex, but the circumstances were different - and one was practically rape. ) which lead to endless harassment. None of the boys involved were subject to this in any form, just saying. But to call 12 and 14 year old girls sluts and whores? Or to demand adult level self respect or responsibility from them? Insane.

The short of it is that this college age boy ( can't be a man. ) put up a YouTube tirade against the dead girls ( supposedly anti-bullying, but he placed all the blame on them ), and I quickly posted a response that suggested any college board or employer would be happy to see his video, and good luck with applying to either. Also that folks should link his video to every anti-bullying site online. Some months later, the damn video was still up but my post was gone. Guess no one took the suggestion to heart.
