I wouldn't hold very high hopes for this film except Denzel Washington is in it, which gives me very high hopes!

Yeah, I thought he was an old honkie...

See what you think, but he comes across as a bit too super-duper invulnerable to me!

"Double dong Denzel!"

I'm actually interested in seeing this. Which is kind of weird for me, but yes. Glad he's a badass some more.

Yep! Saw the film last night, and that was the problem with it IMHO. He just goes through rows of opponents and in the end you just get the feeling he's untouchable, so you really don't care.

6/10.

So, it's just a name rape then?

Don't remember Edward Woodward going all Rambo on countless badguys.

He used to resolve issues with brains, rather than brawn IIRC.

There's a couple glimmers of moments where he uses brains to resolve matters... Which are nice. But all too often he's just a one man terminator, which just gets tiresome/silly.

So yes, it could be any old US secret agent type flick really.

When I got home, I turned the TV on, and there was Taken, and I instantly thought, now here's a better compromise between brains and brawn!

I can't remeber a single moment from 'Taken'.

Utterly forgettable film.

I don't think I hated it or anything. I just cannot remember anything about it.

I might give it another spin and see if anything changes.

Is the second one any use? Or should one avoid.

Not seen 2. Reviews seem to suggest OK, but not as solid as the first.
