They said it wouldn't happen... but - http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/compatibility/CompatCenter/ProductDetailsViewer?Type=Software&Name=Red+dead+redemption&ModelOrVersion=&Vendor=Rockstar+Games&Locale=1033%2C2057%2C3081%2C4105%2C16393&LastSearchTerm=red%2Bdead%2Bredemption&BreadcrumbPath=red+dead+redemption&TempOsid=Windows+7

Suspect it's a mistake myself, but finger crossed!

If they do release it and any PC gamers are on the fence, I can't possibly recommend this game enough. I've already played through it multiple times on the 360 and over the last week or so have had the urge to do it again...

And the zombie add on?

And the zombie add on?

Lots of people enjoyed the "Undead Nightmare" DLC, but I wasn't too keen on it. It wasn't bad in any way, I think I may have just been burned out on zombie games at the time. It's good, but I prefer the basic RDR game, myself.

I was just thinking about going back the last week or so myself...damn fine game.

Agreed - damn fine game - so atmospheric, and I really got into the story and main character. Great to just saddle up, yomp through the desert, and shoot some bandits you happen to come across.

"Undead Nightmare" - I rather enjoyed it. It's immensely satisfying to be popping off headshots (yes, with the aim assist - otherwise you'd be bumbling around missing constantly with analogue sticks) from horseback. It's not incredible, but it was a decidedly fun little follow-up with a horror dressing.

I can't imagine it's a "mistake" - people have been wanting this on PC for ages, and if anything I'd imagine this "leak" of information is entirely deliberate to generate some advance press.

i'd probably argue that red dead redemption is the game of the console generation.....can't really think of too many other games that drew me in so quickly and held my attention the entire time. and that ending....wow. undead nightmare was great, too.

a must-own for anyone who likes westerns and open-world games. haven't played it in a while, but when it was hot and heavy during the summer of its release, i had about half a dozen players who i'd regularly posse-up with and ride the countryside, taking down gang hideouts, going on hunting excursions, finding plants, etc. gonna have to replay the story at some point, too.

yeah there was a separate multiplayer component. you couldn't really customize a character, but there were plenty of character models from different factions (cattle rustlers, banditos, us marshals, lawmen, soldiers, etc) to choose from. there were many different modes: free roam, deathmatches, free-for-all, online poker, liars' dice, horse races, land grab, capture the flag, etc, as well as several scenarios you could team up with three other players to complete, such as rescuing a kidnapped farmer's daughter, escorting a convoy of gold being transported, etc.

probably one of the most fun mp games i've played.

God I hope this comes out on PC... But I fear it won't :(
