As a long time Horror/Fantasy & Science Fiction fan, posers of all shapes and gender never were an issue for me. Mostly they don't exist. If you show up and have an interest in what we're doing, that's the only qualification necessary. Speaking of geek girls, do we have any left around here? ;)

Who in their right mind in the Sci-Fi/RPG/Comic/Gaming or other Geeek related hobbies would bully, disrespect, or denigrate a Geek Girl?!? I used to DREAM such a thing existed...I still do...sadly for me, they're kinda like Bigfoot...I've heard there have been sightings, but I've never seen one myself, therefore I'm not 100% convinced they exist...:(

Meanwhile. I'll continue to bait the warm spot in the bed next to mine with comics, DVD's of classic Trek, & polyhedral dice in the hopes of luring one in...

The crude sexist humor contained in this post is for entertainment purposes only & does not reflect the views & opinions of MoonSylver, nor his affiliates. If you're really out there, I actually am a nice guy & don't bite, honest! Unless you want me too...:sneaky:

And the Batman sign was brilliant. "Who died and made YOU Batman? "

It's baked into certain aspects of geek culture.

The Hawkeye Initiative (http://thehawkeyeinitiative.com/) takes a funny tack on reminding people about the overt objectification of women in comics.

That made me LOL as well.

MY EYES!!!!:dead: Why dude, WHY?!?!:sneaky:

I have seen it get worse over the course of time, to an at times uncomfortable degree, but here the bottom line for me: I like looking at hot chicks (even if they are drawings), & I make no apologies for that. Before I was old enough to buy Playboy, Starfire & She-Hulk fueled many of my adolescent fantasies.
