I just read there's going to be a Drop Dead Fred remake with Russell Brand playing Fred. What do you think? I think it's a terrible idea!

Been talked about for a while I believe... Could be interesting, but I doubt it will compare to Rik Mayall's version!

Indeed. I'd forgotten about it, but they've been talking about remaking this film with Brand in the lead for many years now. Seems like they must be having some issues getting it going...

Although I haven't seen it in years, I have very fond memories of watching the original when I was younger. I highly doubt anything Brand does will replicate that feeling...
