Seemingly arbitrarily deciding what is nice sex and what is not nice sex, the board's ruling on 'content that is not acceptable' (p.23) effectively bans the following acts from being depicted by British pornography producers:

Spanking

Caning

Aggressive whipping

Penetration by any object "associated with violence"

Physical or verbal abuse (regardless of if consensual)

Urolagnia (known as "water sports")

Role-playing as non-adults

Physical restraint

Humiliation

Female ejaculation

Strangulation

Facesitting

Fisting

The final three listed fall under acts the BBFC views as potentially "life-endangering".

From what I've read this is something to do with what adult content producers can make and sell in the UK specifically ... I think it's part of trying to essentially apply R18/BBFC style ratings onto UK-made adult web content ... of course, a considerable problem with that is the BBFC uses, as part of it's guidelines, the Obscene Publications Act from 1959 which, I presume, hasn't been updated since to cater for 'niche market tastes'. On the censorship website Melon Farmers you often see R18's (mucky movies) with details listing stuff that was "cut in accordance with the Obscene Publications Act 1959".

Probably time for an update on that, you'd have thought ... the world's a vastly different place culturally from then! :stunned:

How is this going to affect 100% free porn sites like xnxx, theporndude (http://theporndude.com/), spankwire,...? Or does this only target adult producers in the UK(EU/USA) and not UK sites hosting 'fetish' videos?

I just tested it out and I can still stream millions of these 'forbidden' videos in the UK. Will those free porn sites soon be censored on ISP level or will they get a warning to remove this content? Doesn't sound fair for UK content shooters and it's already hard enough to make adult sales these days.
