Sawyer Sweeten, the child star of hit US show Everybody Loves Raymond, has killed himself.

His family confirmed in a statement that the 19-year-old "took his own life" on Thursday morning.

He is reported by US media to have shot himself on the front porch of the family home in Texas.

Yeah I read about this this morning - sad, strange stuff.

All three kids on that show are real-life siblings (well, obviously with the twins, but the girl who played Allie as well). I wonder what the reason was behind it ... whatever it is though, it must be awful for the family and especially so for the twin brother left behind. That must be such a bizarrely sad situation to be in. :(

It's a sad thing to see anyone go.

Having said that, I've seen dozens of Raymond episodes, and I never saw any kids...
