Absolutely mind boggling the effect this war had, CONTINUES to have, and WILL continue to have, for CENTURIES to come...

Unbelievable stuff!

I went to Belgium on a school history trip way back when, and we visited various WWI sites - including some preserved trenches that you could walk through, including a tunnel that was pitch black and some stunningly cramped (and bleak) living quarters. Lots of recovered weapons parts on display - including two bullets that had hit each other head-on and had twisted together into one form.

At another site we saw a bomb crater and, blimey, in person they're gigantic - the scale of what those soldiers had to deal with suddenly becomes very real ... all the moreso when we visited some of the cemeteries. Stunning stuff. :stunned:

Just imagine what a country would be like after a nuclear attack.

And you still have fools saying that a "limited exchange" could be "winnable".

Just WOW! Why isn't there a TV documentary on this?
