Well, I have to say the film felt somewhat like a current Ridley Scott film, some what flat...

Many of the characters felt empty, with odd casting choices I'd say, and some of the acting feeling almost "phoned in"...

A perfectly watchable adaptation, with a come of redeeming moments, but I'd have to say, a poor second cousin to what the book brought to the table.
