So I bought tickets for AC/DC in Manchester for the 9th of June at the beginning of the year when they announced some extra dates on the Rock or Bust tour, then the news came that Brian was stepping down due to hearing loss and Axl Rose was announced as his replacement to finish the tour. I was horrified at first, I'd only heard bad things about Axl from his behaviour in the 90's and beyond, that he'd lost his voice, he'd got fat, and had a habit for not turning up at shows or arriving hours late. A lot of people got refunds on their tickets but I decided I'd wait out and see what he was like in the shows in the run up to the one I was attending. I'm very glad I did, they were absolutely amazing, Axl sounded great, was on time, and you could tell he was humbled to be performing with AC/DC and having the time of his life, one show I'll never forget! Sure he's not Brian or even Bon Scott, but in my opinion he was the right choice.
