now ive read all of moodys stuff and recommended to lots of people to read autumn (in fact if you read the latest issue of the walking dead issue 28's letter section has a 'danny smith from england' suggesting to kirkman to check em out......he didnt believe i was english though, lol) anyhoo moodys zombie novels rocked and since i had a tenner in my bank that had been there for about 4 months i figured id buy his new book out called hater.

i recieved it ,signed like all the rest this morning, and ive allready finished it, so heres the skiiny on the story.

a small but exponentioally growing portion of the population is becoming violent for no reason regardless of race or gender or even age.

so i know what your thinking "its a rip off of 28 days later!", and i thought that as well but in actual fact the people or ''haters'' as there called still act normal but they kill with the smallest amount of pushing from the person they attack in fact one scene has the main protagonist help a mortally wounded man and doesnt discover till later he is one of the haters and he didnt know.

its easier to think of them more like the creatures in the xbox game farcry instincts, but ill say no more than that...

its a very slow paced book even though its set over about 2 weeks, though im compareing it to autumn which involed billions dying in a few minutes so it stands to reason id find this slower paced, its a little short at only 235 pages, which if youve read a lord of the rings or harry potter book its a breeze to go through, but that doesnt mean to say its bad.

after reading moodys ,as yet unfinished, online novel 'mark thane' i can see how his stle of writiings taken a slightly different route since then though its evident that almost all his books protagonissts work there asses off in a dead end job before the whatever it is in each book hits.

overall this is a good read and a little more script like and direct and you really think yeah i know how the poor bugger feels at earllier points and i think most of you will like this book ,whilst not as good as autumn that might be because it ends mutch more open than them as its not a beginning, middle adn end, in fact the story concludes in part 2 of this series called "dog blood", as stated in the back of hater

"they say were animals, they say weve got dog blood running through our veins"....

so check it out its a good read and should tide over autumn fans till disintergration comes out later in the year.

i give it ... 8 outta 10.

Always been a fan of Moody's stuff, and my mom absolutly loves him. Don't really want to tell her about it yet...as I wouldn't be able to use the PC for awhile.
