I sincerely hope this causes a disaster for Microsoft, knowing their build quality this smells a bit like arrogance. Hacking Vista especially, should be intensely easy.

i dunno. i'm hoping Vista holds up. i'm stuck with Windows as work, so i'd prefer if Vista was actually worthwhile.

It's a smart move from Microsoft. Why wait til after the release of Vista for hackers to find the holes and security breaches in the software. By doing it now and giving the hackers of the world (HACK THE PLANET! HACK THE PLANET!) a chance to play with Vista before its release then any problem that comes up will get a chance to be fixed. Microsoft stopped being the Evil Empire the moment Sony came up with the PS3. Now they are truly the Evilest Empire of all Evil Empires!
