Erm ... I've seen Philip Schofield from a distance in a packed out shopping mall where he made an appearance with Gordon the Gopher. And I've been in a group of friends (one of which got an autograph) when Tiff Needel came out of Phones 4 You in Cardiff, lol.

And I have a signed photo of Leatherface (Gunnar Hansen).

Yep, I've seen them all...

how much bandwidth does this server have? ...i don't think my typing finger could stand the test
ditto

I'm originally from Memphis, Tn and celebs flock there like geese for some strange reason. I could never name them all from there. Everyone from Elvis to Bono to Iron Eyes Cody to Zappa (way back when).

Since I've been in Kansas City, only one so far; Al Green.

Most famous: Keanu Reeves...He was looking for his friends so I talked to him for a couple mins and shook his hand when he left. (see below)

Celeb I didnt know: Pauly Parette (NCIS) I was at a club and she was soooo hot I went over and bought her a drink we talked and flirted (She showed me her panties) said she was from Cali and had a BF. At the end of the night someone informed me who she was.

First Name basis celebs: I got to know Jon Favreu and Orlando Jones really well, they would hang at the bar where I worked every night during "the Replacements" so we would just sit and talk for a couple hours each night for about a month.

Celeb I drank with: White Zombie (Rob Zombie)

Celeb I was on stage with: Ol' Dirty Bastard ( I rapped a song with him )

other celebs:

George Clinton
Magnus Ver Magnusson (worlds strongest man)
Bam Mangera and the Viva la Bam guys (Ryan Dunn and Don Vito mostly)
Lou Reed
Aaron Nevil
Martin O'malley (Mayor of Baltimore) I waited on him.
Bill Cower and Jerome Bettis (just autographs)

I might be forgetting a few.

AND the celeb I could have stayed with for a weekend

Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgewick my friend was thier nanny and I was invited over for the weekend but I declined since my ex-ex-GF was going and my ex-GF would have frowned upon that.

I have met a lot of the old motown singers. At the DQ I am a manager at, one of our regular customers used to be a music producer here in Detroit so he would bring in a lot of the motown people. He also brought in Alliyah before she was famous. We also used to have a dive bar where musicians go to die across the street so a lot of the guys from the 80's hair metal bands used to come in for ice cream and hamburgers. IT was cool, but they knocked that place down and built a K-mart in its place. We also had Chris Webber of NBA fame come in quite often when he was in college because his girlfriend at the time worked at the day care center in the church next to us.

I have also met a lot of actors at conventions, far too many to list here. Also, I met a lot of wrestlers, a couple baseball players, and Grant Hill before he left the Pistons.

OH yeah, I met the girl who played Willows daughter in Willow. She came into the video store I work at and rented some movies. I knew she looked familiar, but couldn't place her then later that night I had an urge to watch Willow for some reason. A few minutes into the movie I realized who it was so I went to IMDB to confirm the name and sure enough, it was her. The funny thing is that we used to have this little girl who came in that always told me her babysitter was Willows daughter and she would always rent the movie. I just thought that her sitter looked like Willows daughter, but then realized it really was.

My daughter (10 y/o) went to airplane camp with the little girl who starred in Sandlot 2!

Are we talking only celebrities that we have met out in public by chance? Cause I have met a shiitload of celebs at those arranged gatherings. You know, where you stand in line for 2 hours to see the celeb for 2 minutes and pay them 5 bucks for an autograph?

I went to Limp bizkit/Coal Chamber(hey I was 14, cut me some slack) show when I was 14 and we had a cool outdoor venue where tickets were $7 I had consumed 3/4 of a 5th of kentucky deluxe and a few beers (really had I high tolerance for alcohol when I was that age). Old Fred Durst was walking around with a wireless mic....I wasn't watching, just smoking some pot. I guessed he was ****ed to see someone not paying any attention 'cause he pushed me in the pack and I fell to one knee and lost my roach. I've quit smoking pot, but that ****ed me off and I'll have my revenge if i ever see him again.....Anyway, my point is that it Fred has always been a whiny little b*tch.

I've been lucky enough to have met some well known people in my 35 years on earth. Like everyone else I've met famous people at signings, conventions and sports related events, but I've had the chance to spend time with some cool people outside of organized gatherings too...

1)Sam Raimi (directed by him as an extra on "The Gift")
2)George Romero(directed by him as a zombie on "Land of the Dead")
3)Quentin Tarantino, Robert Rodriguez, Simon Pegg & Edgar Wright(got to be a dead locations "tour guide" for them in Pittsburgh->thanks to G. Nicotero)
4)Matt Damon(visited the theatre I was managing in Savannah while shooting a movie)
5)Vince Vaughn(flew on the same plane to Los Angeles in 2001)
6)Ben Roethlisberger(rode an elevator with him at the PNC Park Outback)

Like most people here, Im sure, Ive met a lot of people at conventions (Dawn cast, Day cast, Doug Bradley, Sid Haig...and so on, and so on...)

Some Ive just met while out and about:

Phillip Michael Thomas (Tubbs in the original Miami Vice)-Saw at a Circuit City in Miami back in '89---Don Johnson used to play golf at the course my step-father used to run

I met Dennis Farina at a taping of an episode of Miami Vice--for all the jerks he has played, he was one of the nicest people I had ever met

For the sports fans, I threw Erric Rhett (sp?) out of a movie theater I was managing, and when the Super Bowl was in Tampa, I saw Mel Gibson, Jerry O'Connell and Dan Marino

Finally, Im actually related to Dakota Fanning. Its very far removed, but her cousin married my cousin. I'll give her this, she hasnt let hollywood go to her head. She was outside playing with all the other kids that were there.

When I was a kid I met William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy. It was an autograph line, but it was cool. Leonard Nimoy was really huge, wore a flannel shirt and had bad skin. I was shocked because he wasn'y semi green and had a normal haircut. He shook my hand and it was like 10 times the size of mine. But I was like 5.
Also Roddy McDowell (POTA was huge at the time) and Adam West and Burt Ward.
I know it's not the purpose of the thread, but...

I worked at a jjuice bar aroind 95 or so and a ton of famous people came in
Bill Murray (yup)
Madonna (Unattractive)
Her boyfriend at the time. Carlos, he was in OZ. From my hometown an ,really cool guy. And Normal.
Donald Sutherland
Danny Aiello
Spike Lee
Joe Franklin
Jack Davis
Lots more

My Coworker and Friend is a really funny guy. When Bill Murray came in on his shift He spoke to Bill in the "carl" voice from Caddy shack and Bill responded as Carl. The whole transaction was conducted with 2 Carls.
Bill Murray
is
AWESOME

Hmm, lesee..

from the movie end of things:

Dj, my wife and myself went to the LOTD premiere in Pittsburgh, and we met a few people there:

Simon Pegg (got a pic with him too!)
Joe Pilato (who was pretty f'in hammered. heh)
Greg Nicotero

While waiting for LOTD to start at the premiere, my wife talked to Tom Atkins, who sat right behind us. :D

She also didn't "meet" but waved to Eugene Clark who was in a private (albeit it 'glass') room during the after-party for the premiere and he waved back - she got a kick out of that for some reason. :)

She also got to meet and get an autograph from Pedro Arce (Pillsbury!)

Geez, who else..

In music, I've met too many people to name..

I do have a few autographs from Bill Moseley, but i've never met him, unfortunately. :( Everything I buy related to him though I get through his website, and he signs just about everything he sells. :D
