In December I have infections to both ears and a busted right ear drum, as of yesterday I have the same condition. How many times can you blow an ear drum before you lose hearing?

I'm told if it happens again in the next 6 months i need to see a specialist and maybe get tubes in my ears.

POST LOUDLY!!

Never had one bad enough to blow out my ear drum, but I get them somewhat frequently. I've been told it's something I'll deal with for the rest of my life, having to do with my lymph nodes not processing infections properly. All I can suggest is Ciphro ear drops (antibiotic/steroid), and prescription pain medicine :)

My wife tells me I didn't finish my antibiotics last time, don't really remember.
It might have ben hanging around, my hearing never really recovered.

This time my pills ar 2 a day instead of 4, I can handle that. Damnit 28 is too yourng for a hearing aid.

Sucks. Sorry to hear that. My eye site turned to s*** when I was 30.
And finish your fuggin Antibiotics next time (isn't that your wife's job, to make us less stupid:) ). People do that a lot, because they start feeling better.

I never finish my anti-biotics. It's just a bad habit of mine. I'll take them for like two days and stop.

I've had a history of ear infections for my entire life. At least two a year. Some get so bad that I can't tilt my head at a certain angle or else the pain is excrutiating.

Well it happened to me in both ears some time ago. I have some hearing loss but it is minimal. The key is to go to the doctor as soon as you have symptoms before it gets that badly infected.
