Does anybody remember when this version of the Directors Cut on VHS would go for rediculous amounts of money?

There is still a company on there that tries to sell it for $30... but of course they won't get that from anybody.

I remember seeing this for like $115 years back when I had bought it for a lousy $6 (new) in Blockbusters over-stock bin.

It was really that high? I remember buying it at a mall back in 1998 or 1999 for somewhere between $10-20 new. Great version, I thought. At one time, I had all three versions on vhs.

Right, it was released in 1999 but was discontinued shortly after. They didn't make very many before it went out of print, therefore most places that had a clue what it was worth jacked the prices wayyy up. Of course, once the DVD's of Dawn started coming out that VHS was pretty much obsolete and had to drop value practically 100%.

I was dumb enough to pay that when it went out of print and I had the notion that once they go out of print, that was it. I didn't realize that they could rerelease it later, in which they did a year later for $10!

It was basically the same release, from the same company. Pi$$ed me off pretty well, but at least I have the first release and it could still be worth something... hopefully.

I've learned from that one mistake though.

This movie is very very bad, February 12, 2003
Reviewer: "perry147" (Birmingham, AL) - See all my reviews
This movie has no real plot or story direction, bad acting, bad special effects and not scary. I really can't say anything good about this movie; it is hard to believe that someone who made a movie as great as "Night of the Living Dead" also made this junk. It is a horrible movie, not just a bad one. The movie is the classic "bad sequel to a great movie" trap so beware.
If this review does not sway you, do yourself a favor - rent it first.

Odd: I have a feeling that person is either under the age of 13 or over the age of 60.

I got that at Suncoast for like $15 at the time. I do remember there being a two-tape special edition that was released before that though. I just never got around to buying it. Either that or I'm going mad and it didn't really exist except in my imagination.
