and I'm having problems with Xbox Live. I think its some kind of problem with either firewall permissions or interference. I keep getting a message saying that unauthorized usage of bandwidth or something to that effect.

Anyone else having this problem? Any suggestions?

if its a bndwidth problem id check out how your connected i only get those messages on my machines when ive not plugged something in right.

weird. try the xbox.com forums for more info. out of curiousity are you using a router to split your internet connection?

Wierdly, I also get those messages on my second computer sometimes, but only since I installed Norton Protection suite, so I'm guessing that has something to do with it.

did u reset your modem and router first....

unplug your modem and router, plug the rj45 into the xbox and then plug in the modem and router.

also try a direct connect to the modem, if it works then it an issue with the router/software.

btw congrats, everytime i buy a new system it like a added family member.
