I'll be honest, I'm intrigued...I enjoyed the TCM remake - although it obviously holds piss all against the original, but it's a guilty pleasure for me (I even have the collector's edition with the fold out chainsaw blade design for the box).
At least here they're doing something new with the franchise, rather than a remake, here they're exploring new territory. Whether said territory will be any good is another thing ... but at least they're bringing back R. Lee Ermey, the dude's a badass and was probably my favourite thing about the remake.
