Talking of Russian films, any one seen Elim Klimov's "Come and See"?
It was made in 1985 but was re-released this year on dvd. It's one of the most brutal and affecting war films I've ever seen.

Yeah ive got come & see,ordered it from amazon the other week but havent got round to watching it yet!
