I'm sure you have heard the talent search ads on the radio, kids 4 and up.
My kids want to go to the free interview and give it a shot. I have twin daughters 4 years old who love to pose and have their picture taken.

I think I will let them do this, I am not a fan of this. I am guessing this is a scam where they will have to pay a profile fee or fly out to LA.

Its not the life I really want for my girls but if there is an off chance they can make money for college, I wont be around to help with that.

In short, Is this child abuse? You see how so much young talent ends up messed up.

As long as you're not pushing them, I don't see a problem with it, however...

people who do to their kids like some of these parents <cough>jonbenetramsey<cough> these parents need to be shot for exploiting their kids like that. It's sickening that because something the parents weren't able to accomplish in their life, they have to force it upon their kids and not give the kids the choice.

The only problem I would have as a parent is if my child or grandchild had to have all that makeup and be dressed up older than they really are!
If it would be cute a natural dress up clothes you wear on your child like at weddings or in weddings like that...I just think of poor little JonBenet Ramsey... those pictures of her were awful!!! She looked like a little junior hoochie..thats just not natural beauty when you have to enhance a child like that?
If my kid or kids had talent or talents I would go for it and it would be all natural like I said!
But, thats my opinion!!!

you are not whoring out your children
if they enjoy the competions then
let them do it

this is whoring your child:

i work with a group called protect.org
which is a childs right group

until recently people were selling
videos of themselves "discipling" thier children
to other freaks who get off on watching children get beat

it seems it was not against the law until recently to beat your
kids on video and sell it

the ads would run in certian newspapers
"proverbs:spare the rod... the next time your kid
has a good one coming tape it and send it to
#####, sound quality important...."

that is whoring your child
and it was legal until recently
all the loopholes havent been closed yet
but we are working on it....

Well, I went ahead and brought my girls. They passed whatever test and I was told that they were very marketabile alone or as a pair. Hearing it phrased that was made me uncomftorable. They were selected to stay and given the oppertunity spend $700 a pice if they want to go to Chicago and make contacts. I think this placde is some what of a scam, They should be writting me checks if my kids have potential. If was a good expieriance for them, maybe we will persue it.
