Buddy/friend lists.

Whats the etiquette here? There are folks that I'd like to mention in my cp but I don't know if i need their consent or anything. Help?:)
Don't want to appear as an over friendly nutter but some folk are just nice and deserve a mention.

all it really does is tell you when they are online and adds them to your profile.

if you add someone to your buddy list, but they do not add you to theirs, you are listed as their buddy. if they add you to their list aswell, you become friends.

i really just use it to tell me when the people who regularly contibute links to free stuff are on:D , needless to say my freinds list is full.
