These photos are from a commercial I produced last week.
It was a Road safety add, which will be given a theatrical release for three months in Perth. We shot on 16mm film over the course of one day, on a shoe string budget of $10,000.

Cool pics there man, glad you're getting some work. I too am currently trying to get into the film biz (always an uphill struggle - unless you're rich or well connected, I'm neither ), so have a couple of fresh thumbs. :)

Cheers Mate,
This was by far my most difficult project. Having to deal with agency clients was an experience on its own and working on such a limited budget and being expected to release a $100,000 product on $10,000 was definatly a steep learning curve.
This was my first offical production as a Producer, as all of my other films were made whilst I was in film school. But the flow on effect has been rewarding; I have already been offered to Produce and Direct a music video for an upcoming band and this time I will actually have the budget to charge a fee!

Woah, cool on the music video. Hope that all goes well. :)
It's all about getting the foot in and then the glory of the snowball effect.

thanks,
getting a foot in the door, is the most difficult part of the entire industry, but the hardest part from then, is keeping the door open and still earn enough cash to make a living.
The scary part of this production is hoping that the target audience reacts to it in a favourable way, otherwise I have just wasted a ****load of the clients money.

Nice pics man!!
and great stuff for the music video, thats always something i have been interested in and i have so many ideas going around my head for numerous songs, my mate has a band tho and are looking to release a video very soon on Scuzz and for there next video i could well have a chance to help with some of the ideas behind it, which is all good news for me.
Well done man and keep it up!

Throughout the commercial we actually had actors dressed up in giant tool outfits. This commercial is aimed at kids who have yet to get their license, plus it gives the add a bit of humour as well.
The premise behind the add is: "If you speed to look cool, youre a bloody tool" sounds hokey I know but we had to work with it.

If I ever win the lotto you will be on my list to help finance.

Unfortunatly I won't be able to post the finished commmercial online, due to the broadcast rights I purchased for the actors.
Being a commercial I could only purchase the rights for a threatical run and a three month run on network television in Western Australia only.
If I was to upload the commercial onto the net and if any of the actors or their agents saw it, I would have to pay another fee.
