Anyone else have trouble reading that? It kept coming off like he was desperately trying to cover both sides of the argument with one statement, a bit confused.

Basically, this whole insistence on multiculturalism (which friggin' Labour have pissed and moaned about making us get into for a decade - and yet Blair says he's no idea what it is! :eek:) is retarded.

The idea of flooding every corner of the country with every race and culture is stupid - it's the same retardation as Postman Pat introducing an Indian family - the show is set in a small, Welsh village - you don't find Indian families in the rural hills of Wales for cryin' out loud.

There's freedom of speech, but it always seems to be used by the wrong people - i.e. it's not "christmas lights" it's "festive lights" and we have to get rid of Piggy Banks and Piglet from Burger King ads in windows because of the sensitivities of some Muslim complainers.

Essentially, you can come to our country if you're going to be a productive and positive member of society - but if you don't like how we do things, then don't bother coming over, because this is how our country works. Islamist countries wouldn't bend over backwards and suddenly unveil all their women and introduce FHM and pornography on their top shelves or have openly critical religious debates if a million Brits ran off to live over there - so why should we compromise our society's way of doing things, our own traditions, just because of a minority of folk who live by a completely different code of conduct?

You can come in and be productive, and practice your own religion - but you must conform to British law and be fully capable of and willing to accept and tolerate how we do stuff - piggy banks, FHM, girls wearing 'provocative' clothing and gaining successful careers. You can practice your religion, but don't for a minute think you can get away with trying to impose the socio-political laws of your "homeland" (wherever that might be) in someone else's country.

It's like that shariah law crap - are we a Muslim country? No, we're traditionally Christian and our country is run as a democracy (although that can be called into question as of late).

This multiculturalism thing is stupid, it's fake, it's manufactured - it's the boy band of emigration/immigration. There's nothing wrong with having different people living in the same area - but likewise, there's nothing wrong with whole areas remaining old school British - for instance, I live in a small town. There's a handful of non-white families and they mainly run restaurants/take aways and they're integrated into the community completely as they're just "one of us, like everyone else" - a Chinese family who run The Golden Horse (fantastic take away place we've gone to for years and years) have their beliefs and ways, but they respect the ways of Britain. And that's how it should be - excellent.

Anyway, like I was saying, in my 7 years at the local high school there was probably about 2 kids (out of over 1000 on average across all years - "grades" to you American folk) who weren't white. In my time I don't think there were any disabled kids, maybe 1 in my final year who was a fresher, I duno, but basically it's a completely white high school - but there's nothing wrong with that, it's just how the land lies, it's just a matter of who has decided to settle where, and that "where" happens to be a place where it's mainly white people.

It's strange, I went to uni and while there were plenty of Chinese/Japanese/etc students as well as Indians and black people etc, my "class" of people on my course featured merely 1 Asian (not sure if she was Chinese or Japanese though). The rest were middle class white folk - again, nout wrong with that.

It's weird, I've never had a friend who isn't white and have generally grown up in areas where 98% of the people are white. I've also never had a friend who was gay, although a guy I knew in high school (an acquaintance, but he never hung out with the guys so I never really knew him) turned out to be gay and a guy at uni who was a friend of a friend was gay.

Does this make me un-integrated? Nope. Does it make me racist? Nope. Does it make me a bad person? Nope.

Social engineering - which includes multiculturalism - just simply doesn't work. Labour should learn, if you try and lord your power over the masses and try to make them do things in your "vision" then it won't work. But then again, that's what friggin' Labour is all about - controlling the masses through retarded legislation that isn't at all thought out beyond "let's write a cheque and it's fixed".

Boy band! Haha!:D I dont understand that impulse in England. In the US we sort of have to pretend to be tolerant of crap like that becasue of the History of Immigration, though the old crop were looking to be Americans, not just transplant thier feudalim to detroit or wherever. But England is for the English. Why do they even pretend to have to tolerate it? Its not like "Well, My grandpa immigated and got treated like crap so we have to put up with these goofs". I really dont get it.

I'm not saying we don't live in a 'global' society - although it's not really truly global ...

Also, for British traditions and such - I'm all for it, otherwise everyone will become one blob the same as every other country - the little differences in each country make us individuals. If I want a piggy bank and piglet on my burger king promos I'll bloody well have it, I'll also have Christmas lights - even though I don't celebrate Christmas in that way - I celebrate Xmas.

And I don't really watch kung fu movies. :lol:

To clarify - although I really shouldn't have to as you all know me well enough, it's not Muslims in general, it's the complainers who abuse their religion and think it's their right to march in and change our traditions and the little things - heck, even the big things - in Britain we abide by British law - not Shariah law - if you want Shariah law or the type of crap where women are stoned to death for seeking education or a career, then piss off somewhere that likes that sort of crap.

There was something on the news a couple of hours ago with a Muslim reacting to Blair's statement (which comes about 10 years too late as this bizarre, forced multiculturalism garbage was retarded from the outset - mixed cultures comes naturally with natural movement, let things happen on their own). Anyway, this Muslim chap took it that it only meant Muslims - a bit arrogant I thought as Blair didn't say that and this chap was merely assuming - also, there's many more non-white folk in the country who aren't Muslims.

It's the complaining minorities that ruin the party for everyone else that are the problem, and of course this multicultural crap has gotten out of hand, to the point where we'll get rid of a piggy bank or "christmas lights" before stopping a hook-handed freak of nature hellbent on violence to the "infidels" from spreading his poisonous and fetid mangling of a religion - held dear by people who are, generally speaking, just normal folk like everyone else (religion-specific socio-political idiosyncracies aside)...
