Okay, in a majority of movies, zombies tend to stalk and eat their victims, usually whole. (With the exception of course of the 'Return' series only eating brains.)

They like those guts, that flesh, picking the bones free of every bit of meat.

So tell me this one then, why is there so many dead returning that haven't been completely eaten?!!

Did survivors get bit and went off, barricaded theirselves, died and came back?!

Wouldn't the dead that returned have already eaten the ones that died within moments?

Maybe when it first started and someone died and while they are being eaten by one or two zombies, the one being eaten suddenly returns and the others lose interest in them and go off after fresher meat?

Then it balloons out of control, but you would think that by the time there are hundreds of the suckers, a person who just died would be consumed completely rather quickly by a horde and therefore there wouldn't be anymore zombies being produced. (Day of the Dead).

Thoughts?

I think that the majority of people who died after mass-discovery of the outbreak would be aware of the situation and actively trying to avoid being around large groups of zombies. As we saw many times during the series, after being bitten, the first instinct is to get away. Therefore it is logical to assume that most people are dying in a secluded place, hiding in a closet, in a tree, etc. anywhere they could escape to. Also, if a member of a group of people was bitten, they more than likely aided in that persons escape. As we saw in Dawn in building 107, even after people knew what was happening, they were hesitant to put a bullet in the brain of a former friend or loved one. The instances we see of total disembowelment of people was when they got caught amid a large groups of zombies and had no avenue of escape.

yeah its allways gotten to me to, the way i got around in the script im working on right now is they dont eat people they just know were different adn literally beat the life out of us and when they kill you they just shamble off to the next noisiest thing that they attack and so on, and then the dead get up (for reasons i aint decided on but it aint no damn virus:rolleyes: ) and the cycle goes on, cus i just dont get the eating thing, granted when its a group in a house it works but on a worldwide scale it doesnt quite work.

To get a world spanning, zombie pandemic going you would need either:

1. a carrier(s) who's immune to the zombie disease & he spreads it far & wide.

2. or a psycho(s) who goes around infecting people with some zombie disease cultures he carriers around in a container.

3. or someone uploads a digital formula for the zombie plague to the internet & labs all over the world inadvertently infected people with it. (Don't laugh. a scientist not to long ago reverse engineered the 1918 flu virus in a computer, so transferring a digital file version of a microbe that can be recreated in distant lab isn't to far off.)

I think it's a combination of what you said there and also there might be the chemical effect of a group attack (greater than 2 or 3) on a zombie's brain that acts as an inciter, for lack of a better word, that encourages a more vigorus attack on a victim.

Several years ago i invented a machine that could stab people in the face over the internet. I tested it out on a friend of mine, Dr. J. Leo Pard, who invented the question mark, and it worked extremely well.

I heard that he has recently had his entire face reverse engineered by a surgeon who specialised in Photoshop 7.

I think it depends on the number of zombies and then if their 'lunch' reanimates as they are eating it.

I am sure that would put you off your dinner.

Watch 'Meat Market 2' if you want to see a zombie rip off a 'member' and probably eat it.

And its a banana! :)

I don't think that the "zombie crisis" become, but a plague like 28 Days Later yes. this is the real danger. A type of rage that infect the people by air. This ill, could made in a laboratory for the Army. Likes logic, no?. What do you think?.

Well if the "chunk" of flesh is large enough then immediatly that zombie sets about consuming it; such is the stupidity of his fellow Z that they immedialty quabble over the same chunk of raw, alluring flesh. This may give victims time to escape, expire and reanimate. Teams working in groups, especially in the early days when knowledge was scarce, while susceptible to early attacks could easily repel Zombies when aware. At night, from behind, e.t.c the zombie surprise element, but out in the open one on one, the chances of survival are high, even when attacked in a group. agility, speed and intelligence are on the human side remember.

That's an excellent idea too and a great explanation as to why so many zombies are so horrifically mauled - they reanminated while being torn apart by other zombies. Everying is still pretty fresh after death for a couple of hours - the timeframe for reanimation
