Why is the music of zombies always death metal?

Wouldn't it be cool if for once it was some stupid bubblegum pop song?

Ive often wondered that, why does horror in general always have to be accompanied by metal?and the majority of horror fans are into it as well!i dont mind a bit but im not mad on it.

The Day one was pretty cool, the music fitted a bit more because it's less colourful and more depressing than Dawn. That reminds me, I've got to find my Day of the Dead DVD.

Erm, what's wrong with using the actual film score?

No. But maybe if it was Family Guy style heroin bubblegum...

I'd like to see to some zombies ripping people apart and eating intestines to this music: h ttp://ww w.youtube.com/watch?v=Ott0EacbphM

I think it would be hilarious.

My favorite "zombie" music video is "Scream" by the Misfits, which was directed by George A. Romero. Cool song too.

Heh Well you want a upbeat zombie song well Im not sure of the actual title but I remember seeing a Iggy Pop video which is him and a girl fighting off a crowd of zombies for the whole thing while singing. The end of the video being him being swallowed by the mass while using as an arm as a weapon and pulling off a particularely nut shrinking note.

Awhile back, VH1 ran some old Twisted Sister (yikes!) video called "Be Chrool to your scuel" (spelled as the video was named). Typical Twisted Sister video as it takes place in a school full of people, except the characters were zombies and Alice Cooper had a cameo.
