i think he means you can't justify killing because your religion demands it, discussion of such matters are not required to judge whether these people intended to kill anyone. looking at the facts & their actions will determine that.

one of those fatcs could be that they believe that such killing would be justified by their interpretation of the dogma, and that will be taken into account, but it is not necessary for the jury to pursue discussion of such matters.

at least thats the impression i got, its a very f***ing murky statement, i hate these almost meaningless soundbites people give to the media...maybe i'm just tired...bah
