Isn't George Lucas supposed to be getting a Star Wars TV show going? If it's around the same time as Flash Gordon, they'll be giving each other a run for their money.

They need to use the Queen soundtrack for Flash Gordon.

Looks promising but they need to get one hell of a charasmatic Flash for it to be a success.

Even if the Star Wars series was a pile of dog s**t, it would still win every time. No fanboy ranting here, just the truth.

No thanks. As much as I love Queen, that song sucked balls.

What's the betting that someone from American Pie or some other crap is gonna be in it. They best get Brian Blessed back as Prince Vultan, he could still do the role now...

Yeah, it's one of those guilty pleasures... and what the hell happened to Sam J. Jones who played Flash? I thought he was gonna be the new Harrison Ford (both being the latest sci-fi heroes at the time) but the dude dropped off the radar altogether.

Moved into quite a successful TV career I believe...

I wonder if it's going to be played serious or comic book/hammy?
I suspect pretty serious!

Well, I'm thinking they will probably try to emulate the feel of the movie but with slighty smuttier tones, not dissimilar to the soft-core remake Flesh Gordon. It's a shame really because I would like to see a fully fledged sequel to the movie. Okay, Sam Jones and Melody Anderson might be a little too craggy to reprise their roles but damn, Brian Blessed, Timothy Dalton, hell even Max Von Sydow as Ming could all pull it off again. Get the remaining three members of Queen in to re-jig the score, with a possible 'Flash' remix and they would have my money right there.

Man, it was awful! I like how he fought with whatever that big metal robot was, and tried to punch it.
It looked like all those late 90's syndicated shows - Beastmaster: The Series meets Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's The Lost World meets the special effects from season 1 of Sliders.
