I found this game for a fiver in the local bargain bucket and I was very pleasently surprised so I thought Id share.
Basically the idea is there was a nuculear ( yeah I know I cant spell before anyone points it out :bored: ) that wiped out most of the major world powers. A american observation base survived and I think its 10 or 20 years after the war that the base running low on supplies decides to venture out into the wilderness. Fearing mutants and all the usual stuff but they head out anyway.
You start with four members, each member can develop certain talents ( demolitions, medic, sniper, heavy weapons specialist ). The world is basically in chaos, gangs of looters controll towns and humans are used as trade. Youre group aims to work out what happened to the world and free people, destroy looters and get emselves armed to the teeth.
Its a good game I think, graphics are ****e but the gameplay is pretty good. You can get a variety of weapons varying from 9mm to a Blackhawk armed to teeth. Vechicles are decent going from trucks to tanks, choppers, apc`s and everything. You can collect ammo and weapons from the dead looters or diffrent gang members.
The further you get into the game the more assests you get, you get to choose which people you put on youre team when on a mission, what transport and what guns you arm em with.
One of my favourite features is the trading system basically you can trade vechicles, guns,ammo, and medical kits with "seekers" which are essentially traders. You make youre bid and the seeker decides if its fair or night, a good example of this is I traded four rpgs, two shotguns, and twelve handguns for a single chopper.
Lotsa replay value as you value the weapons you have and once a team member is dead it can really change the mission, youre disadvantaged as a mother****er. You can go mindless by force or lure looters out so they come face to face with a minigun. Mow down the gang members by using a chopper with a minigun but if they have anti air then one easy shot and one of youre teams biggest assests is shards plus you just lost two team members and all of their guns and ammo.
Its a decent game especially for £5 oh and you can use some of the rescued civillians to become part of youre team, train em up to have certain skills. God bless the snipers, give em kevlar and long as the enemy doesnt have a tank or chopper then youre good to go. :D
